Peter Neville

Peter Neville DHc BSc (Hons) is one of the UK's leading Companion Animal Behaviour Consultants, and has been in practice for the treatment of behavior problems in cats and dogs for over 15 years. He is a frequent media broadcaster, public speaker and a regular feature writer in leading UK pet magazines.

Peter is the Companion Animal Behavior Consultant for Nestlé Purina PetCare in the UK, as well as a Director of the Centre of Applied Pet Ethnology, which offers a range of courses in companion animal behavior and behavior therapy, and of the Coape Association of Animal Behavior Practitioners. He is also a patron of the Cat Survival Trust and leads regular hands-on wildlife safaris to Germany and the Czech Republic to study Wolves and to South Africa to study African Wild Dogs, Cheetah, Lions and Elephants.

Peter studied Biology at the University of Lancaster and went on to complete three years post-graduate study on human and companion animal relations. He established the first companion animal behavior referral clinic at a UK veterinary school at the University of Bristol in 1990 and regularly visits America to lecture on animal behavior and behavior therapy.

Peter Neville has worked closely with Purina to create the 'Understanding Our Best Friends' survey, and to review and analyse its results.
